May 18 - The Day the Civilised Vanquished the Uncivilised

V DAY MINUS 10 YEARS

It was Friday 17th September 1999. Laughter of villagers faded into the tranquillity of the night in remote Gongala village in Ampara District in Eastern Sri Lanka. HM Premasiri (29) went to bed late that night after a long pleasurable conversation with a large number of relatives and friends who had come to his place for a religious ceremony. Around two hours after midnight the serenity of the night was shattered by screams of men, women and children. About 75 Tamil Tigers and their accomplices, mostly women, brutally massacred 27 men, 17 women and 10 children to death. Tamil Tigers had plenty of guns but opted to make it as cannibalistic as they possibly could. Just one victim was shot with a revolver while the rest were killed with knives, axes and machetes. Most victims were hacked to death. Premasiri survived hiding under his bed. He could hear the hysteric laughter of Tamil Tiger female murderers and their civilian accomplices resembling what might be Satan’s laughter. For a moment he thought devils from hell have invaded the earth. When the morning came, the true horror of the attack became obvious. People found it difficult to attribute to humans. If anything came close, that was the horror female SS helpers including Irma Grese - known as the ‘Angel of Death’ - at Belsen and Auschwitz unleashed on unarmed civilians during WW2.

Despicable Tamil Elamists didn’t stop there. The political mouthpiece of the LTTE which is both the father and son of the LTTE, grabbed the opportunity to advance its ethnic-cleansing-for-Tamil-homeland agenda. Joseph Pararajasingham, an MP of the communalist TAMIL United Liberation Front (TULF), later the MP of communalist TAMIL National Alliance (TNA) justified the killing based on LTTE claims that an SLAF attack 2 days prior in Puthukudiyiruppu had killed 22 Tamil civilians. He was the only source that officially linked the Gongala civilian massacre to the SLAF attack, trying to whitewash the crime. In doing so Tamil Elamists (which includes both peaceful Tamil Elam supporters and the LTTE) sent out a powerful message - they want to ethnically cleanse the North East of every non-Tamil.

Those who heard, saw or read about subhuman acts of Tamil Tigers resolved to annihilate these uncivilised hordes from the face of the earth. While this was not the first barbaric attack of Tamil Tigers, it was certainly not the last.

V DAY 2009

After a period of illusion, Sri Lanka took on Tamil Tiger Terrorists in a well planned military manoeuvre in mid 2006 following another similar adventure by Tamil Tigers. After 33 months of intense fighting, Tamil Tigers were annihilated by gallant security forces. May 18th, 2009 became a memorable day not only for Sri Lankans but for all humans. It assumed universal significance because terrorism is the biggest threat to humans today and Sri Lankan security forces pioneered the method of wiping out terrorism.

LTTE terrorists were the most ruthless terror outfit ever to terrorise the world. The human bomb or the suicide bomb was effectively invented and reinvented by the LTTE. LTTE had more suicide bombers at its disposal than all the other terrorist groups combined. It became world’s only terror outfit to have an air force. LTTE had the largest arsenal of artillery among all terror groups in the world. If there is any terror outfit that killed national leaders of two countries, that is the LTTE. This is an achievement in terrorist terms, unmatched for over 17 years. To the horror of humanity, Sri Lankan security forces found submarines in the possession of Tamil Tigers which makes them the only terrorists to have them. Financially, LTTE was the second richest terror outfit annually collecting US$ 200 - 300 million. What’s more significant is all their funds came from developed countries.

Defeating such a colossal terror outfit is no mean task but Sri Lankan security forces achieved it with minimum civilian casualties. War on Terror that is raging around the world killed millions of people but still failed to rid terrorism. What’s more, War on Terror is fought by the richest and technologically most advanced nations. However, their lack of humanity is the main reason for continuing blunders. Sri Lankan security forces on the other hand put humanity first in all their military actions.

V DAY PLUS 1 YEAR

Although the war on terror was won, a bigger war looms ugly on the horizon. It must be fought with insight, clever propaganda, very long range reconnaissance/demolition operations, networking with friendly nations, and economic development. Establishing the rule of law, reducing corruption and safeguarding national and fundamental rights form the basis of it’s national aspect. Those who sacrificed life and limb must be looked after better than those who merely suffered from the war. However, these alone cannot save Sri Lanka as there is a more sinister campaign at work.

Blaming the LTTE alone for ethnic cleansing of Sinhalas and Muslims in the North and from some parts of the East is childish. Ethnic cleansing of non-Tamils was first conceived in the minds of communalist Ilankai TAMIL Arasu Kachchi leaders in 1949-1952. ITAK leader openly declared it on stages. Both LTTE and “moderate” communalist politicians, all of whom are supporters of Tamil Elam, call the ITAK leader “Thanthai” Chelva. His real name was Velupillai Chelvanayakam. The word “Thanthai” has the exact same meaning as “Fuhrer” in German. Only difference between the campaign to create a racially pure Tamil Elam and the campaign to create a racial pure Nazi Germany is that the former had a separation of the ideological leader and the actual executioner.

It is this racist separatism ideology that drove Tamil Tigers to commit extreme acts. Unfortunately they still continue their campaign. Have a look at TAMIL grievances, TAMIL aspirations, TAMIL homelands, TAMIL Congress, TAMIL United Liberation Front, TAMIL Arasu Kachchi, TAMIL Tigers, TAMILnet, etc. Honestly, aren’t these by definition racist? If in doubt, one should tap his/her conscience and ask this question. It doesn’t matter what supposedly created these, the fact is these are ultra racist demands and manifestations that must be avoided in all civilized societies.

Even after the end of the war, most Tamil voters in the North and the East voted for a racist political party that talks nothing but of racist demands. Is this not the plain truth?

We must show our racially deceived brothers and sisters, love, human dignity, compassion and guidance. We must help them not to go deeper into the dungeons of racism as demanded by communalist parties, but to overcome this vicious 63 year old racist bondage and 35 years of ethnic isolation.

Over 100,000 humans died in the war in all four quarters (security forces, LTTE, civilians and IPKF). Their lives must be celebrated in victory no matter what quarter they were in. Aren’t they all together, at last?

A solution is required to bring people of all races together. Communalist war wounds in war ravaged North and East can only be cured by multiculturalism, not by furthering mono-ethnic enclaves that created the war in the first place. Creating multiethnic settlements in the North and East should not be seen as something that will happen automatically. It must be deliberately initiated. This is the new battle. In order to have lasting peace, Sri Lanka must win this battle too.

While i disagree with this fellows comments and have responded to him, what he says here is pretty funny and would be a great sight.

"Let us enjoy the game a bit by appointing our own "Truth Commission" and inviting Ban Ki Moon, Navaneethan Pillay, David Milliband, Hilary Clinton and Bernard Kouchner to give evidence before this Commission. I am sure the leader of the Government in Exile of the Tamil Ealam would provide all of them return tickets and 7-star accomodation in Sri Lanka.

Wow, ~100k-150k SLA presance in North. Most have families of their own. Others have their parental families. So how lovely is it to distriubute these govt owned lands among their familes. An acre each would be peanuts considering teh huge amount of the land they claim to have occupied.

As per TN, they're anyway occupied, and their so called natives are chased. So SL has played the best Satan in their eye. So what worse can we do even for a eelamist hardliner. Once occupied, does it matter whether we plant rice or wheat there?

S.L. External Affairs Minister G.L Pieris should tell U.S. Foreign Secretary Hilary Clinton, that it is BOTH OUR INTENTION, and OUR CURRENT PRACTICE, to provide EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES to ALL Sri Lankan Citizens.

That EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES will be strongly enforced by acting on the freely exercised mandate of the people of Sri Lanka.

HOWEVER, He should EMPHASIZE that that EQUAL OPPORTUNITY DOES NOT, AND WILL NOT, INCLUDE DEVOLUTION OF POWER tO regions based on COMMUNAL ATTRIBUTES, as advocated by other countries TRYING TO PUSH FEDERALISIM on Sri Lanka.

He should EXPLAIN that devolution of power to regions on an ethnicity basis is a PRESCRIPTION FOR NATIONAL SUICIDE for Sri Lanka.

Furthermore, he should explain and that the recently concluded war arose precisely from Unjustified Separate Aspirations that would be exacerbated by federalism, and that the mandate received from the Sri Lankan People DOES NOT SUPPORT IMPLEMENTING such centrifugal policies that would resurrect divisions, and ultimately destroy Sri Lanka.

...............
Challenge for the Sri Lankan government is to offer opportunity to all citizens, U.S. says

ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

May 27, Colombo: Sri Lanka was given a historic opportunity with a strong electoral result and the real challenge is how the government uses it to heal the divided society and offer equal opportunity to all the citizens, the United States said Wednesday.

In response to a question on Sri Lanka External Affairs Minister's scheduled meeting with Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton on Friday, U.S. State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley at the media briefing on Wednesday said the U.S. will reiterate its stance towards reconciliation among the ethnic communities.

When asked what Secretary Clinton would tell the Sri Lankan Foreign Minister the spokesman said the "Secretary will tell him and reiterate what we have said publicly for the past several weeks, that with the recent end of the conflict between the government and the Tamil Tigers, and the recent electoral result that gives a strong mandate to the Sri Lankan Government, the real key is how the government uses that mandate to heal Sri Lankan society and help move the country forward."

"There is a historic opportunity here and the real challenge will be how Sri Lanka seizes that opportunity, the measures it takes to heal the divide that has existed within Sri Lankan society and offer opportunity to all of its citizens," Crowley emphasized.

Sri Lanka External Affairs Minister Prof. G. L. Peiris is scheduled to meet Secretary of State Hilary Clinton on Friday (28).

Minister Peiris who is on a four-day tour in Washington, D.C., Tuesday met with California Congressman and Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs Howard Berman and Chairwoman of the State and Foreign Operations Subcommittee Congresswoman Nita Lowey.

The Minister has apprised the members of U.S. Congress of the current situation in Sri Lanka and the measures his government has taken for economic development and reconciliation.

Prof. Peiris has also given a speech at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) on Tuesday, a Washington think tank specializing in foreign affairs and security issues on the current developments in the country to an audience comprising government officials, members of non-governmental organizations, the media, and academics.

[Germany-based LTTE fund raiser arrested

Police on Wednesday arrested a key supporter of the now defunct LTTE, on her arrival in Colombo.

Well informed sources said that she had been instrumental in collecting funds in Frankfurt for the terrorist organisation and played a key role in the anti-Sri Lanka demonstrations held in the German Commercial Capital during the final stages of the 'humanitarian operation' launched by the security forces.

"She was a key member of the pro -LTTE group who sat across railway lines and blocked the movement of trains in Frankfurt demanding the Sri Lanka government to halt the operation against the LTTE," sources said.

The woman, who had lived in Germany for a considerable period, was also one of the main organisers of the anti-Sri Lanka demonstration held opposite the Indian Consul General's office in Frankfurt, sources said.

The suspect is a native of Chilaw and is around 50 years of age.

Some of her close relatives too had been involved in the demonstrations against Sri Lanka and had raised funds for the LTTE in Frankfurt, the sources said.

Her family owns the GS Traders in Frankfurt and her son-in-law who is also an LTTE supporter is looking after the business, the source said.

She is being interrogated by the CID, sources said.

In a way, even such a speech (reaction) from GSL gives some value to these INGO mafia. OTOH, if GSl 'do nothing' these scum gets 100% one-sided propaganda and it will be like a victory via no show of opponent. And when GSL reacts we are giving recognition and value to enemy. Either way SL screwed. That’s why I like GSL to set up full time third party panel to counter this INGO mafia.

Bravo GL!

Finally, Sri Lanka has a Foreign Minister with the GUTS to DEFEND Sri Lanka with the TRUTH come hell or highwater!

Sam, this is SO IMPORTANT, I am posting it below in full! Thanks for the LINK!

..............
Amnesty International can't dictate terms to us, says Lankan minister

May 27, 2010

Sri Lanka [ Images ]n Foreign Minister Gamini Peiris, who is visiting Washington for meetings with senior Obama [ Images ] Administration officials and US lawmakers, has slammed the International Crisis Group, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and other such groups--that have accused Sri Lanka of war crimes during its conflict with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and called for an international tribunal to investigate these alleged rights violations--saying these groups don't constitute the "international community," and hence don't have the moral authority "to tell us what to do."

Peiris said, "Everybody talks of the international community--what is the international community? There are 196 countries in the United Nations. Now these matters have been taken up in appropriate fora in the United Nations. The Human Rights Council debated this matter for three long days. There were representatives from all six continents and 29 people thought there was no need to take any action, 11 countries thought otherwise, with six abstentions. A couple of NGOs do not constitute the international community," he argued.

Peiris asserted that "the Security Council, the General Assembly, the Human Rights Council (of the United Nations), yes. Now we are prepared to take these matters there…but other avenues, no."

Peiris, taking on Mark Schneider, senior vice president of the International Crisis Group, said it had said in its most recent report released at Chatham House in London [ Images ] that "tens of thousands of civilians were killed or harmed. What is tens of thousands--10,000, 20,000, 90,000--they are all tens of thousands. So, the language is vague, it's nebulous, it is lacking in a kind of precision and specificity that we would expect in a report of that kind, which is said to have been written by somebody who was a distinguished Canadian judge."

Peiris, an erstwhile law professor and a Rhodes Scholar, who was before he entered politics over two decades ago dean of the faculty of law at the University of Sri Lanka in Colombo, argued, "What is more, although there are vivid descriptions of atrocities that are said to have occurred--shelling of hospitals and other things--what is striking about these allegations is that there is no source to which any of this is attributed. There are graphic descriptions, we do not know where these descriptions are coming from. There is absolutely no possibility of verification. How do you verify materials, which is coming from somebody unnamed, working in the shadows, wearing a mask, impenetrable. How does any government deal with that situation."

Thus, Peiris said, "The west has also recognized the necessity to deal with unusual situations having recourse to measures, which may be considered draconian. But these are necessary at particular times for particular purposes."

Ananda-USA said...

Amnesty International can't dictate terms to us, says Lankan minister

.......continued......
"In Sri Lanka, don't forget how many thousands of people were killed by the LTTE [ Images ]. How many were slaughtered by them. So, governments are there, principally to safeguard life and limb and we make no apologies whatsoever for laws that were enacted in Sri Lanka at that time to protect the lives of our people--and by lives I mean Tamil lives as well. I am not talking just of Sinhala lives."

Peiris asked, "Is (former Foreign Minister, Lakshman) Kadirgamar a Sinhala? What happened to (another prominent Tamil leader, Dr Neelan) Thiruchelvam? Do not forget that the LTTE killed as many Tamils as they killed Sinhalese. Anybody who resisted them…summary execution, torture, and the Government of Sri Lanka makes no apology to anybody, anywhere in the world for putting in place the laws that enable us to get rid of that menace. Once we got rid of that menace, we don't need those laws and we did away with those laws."

When the sustained questions continued and an Amnesty International representative called for an independent, international body, alleging that the credibility of various government appointed human rights and investigative commissions were suspect, Peiris shot back, "Don't forget that only one year has elapsed since the end of the war."

"Look at the experience of other countries in similar situations. How long have they taken? I won't mention countries—(but) some of them have taken 30 years. So, why are you applying double standards? Why isn't Amnesty International in a mood to apply these same standards universally? Why single out Sri Lanka. Is it because Sri Lanka is a poor country, Sri Lanka can be pushed around--kicked around like a football? Certainly not! We won't allow that by Amnesty International or anybody else."

Peiris said, "If you believe in a set of values, at the very least, apply those values across the board. Do not be selective. Do not be discriminatory," and continuing to pillory Amnesty International and the other human rights groups, asked, "Are those values applied with any iota of consistency. What about the performance of other countries in comparable situations? I think we have done a great deal within a very short period."

Peiris reiterated, "We don't want Amnesty International telling us what to do. We will take it from the Security Council, (but) we will certainly not take it from Amnesty International. What is the moral authority of Amnesty International? We will read the International Crisis Group and Amnesty International's reports, we will listen to them. But we do not think that they have any coercive moral authority to tell us what to do."

Sri Lanka may not accede to India economic pact

PK Balachandran
May 26, 2010

COLOMBO: The expected Indian attempt to secure Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa's nod for an India-Sri Lanka Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) when the latter visits New Delhi on June 8, seems doomed to fail.

The moment it became known that CEPA was high on the Indian agenda, lobbies against it were activated in Sri Lanka.

On Tuesday, hundreds of professionals (doctors and engineers mainly) demontrated in front of the President's office at Temple Trees, against India's bid to “thrust” CEPA on Sri Lanka. The demonstrators called upon the President not to yield to Indian pressure.

Sri Lankan businessmen and professionals fear that their Indian counterparts would swarm Sri Lanka driving them out of their jobs.

In a rare gesture, the President spoke to the demonstrators, and told them that he would not sign any agreement which would have an adverse impact on Sri Lanka. He also stated that any agreement would have to benefit both parties.

Though couched in general terms, these statements reflected Rajapaksa's own strong reservations about CEPA with India.

India's bid to get Sri Lanka to sign the CEPA goes back to a number of years. Experts from both sides had gone into the proposed clauses with great care. The issues thrown up by the proposed agreement had been discussed at length in academic seminars and trade organisations. The then minister for international trade and industrial development, G.L.Peiris, who is now the Minister for External Affairs, had advocated the CEPA. The Central Bank, the Institute of Policy Studies and other think tanks had written in support of the agreement.

But at the very last moment, Rajapaksa backed out of it.

He continues to be of the view that the Sri Lankan services sector cannot stand an Indian influx, and small Lankan businessmen will be wiped out. He even fears an influx of unskilled lndian labour as it happened in the 19 th and early 20 th centuries to cause what came to be known as the “Indian Tamil” problem.

Rajapaksa told a leading South East Asian daily recently that Indian labourers were working in Sri Lanka illegally already. He said that he had himself seen Indian farm labourers in his home district in south Sri Lanka.

LANKA CALL FOR FTA REVIEW

While India will be keen on moving beyond the India-Sri Lanka Free Trade Agreement (ISLFTA) which it has hailed as a grand success, and go for a CEPA, the Sri Lankans will like to restrict the discussions to the FTA to correct its many flaws.

There is still a feeling in Sri Lanka that the Non Tariff Barriers in India and several Indian rules tend to nullify the advantages gained by the country from the customs duty concessions under the FTA.

But the Indians say that Sri Lankan entrepreneurs are still to make full use of the existing facilities under the FTA to capture a larger part of the vast Indian market.

Sri Lanka's war displaced civilians waiting to go home

by Amada Siri

COLOMBO, May 27 (Xinhua)-- Sellamma Nithyaraja doesn't want to leave the welfare center in Vavuniya in northern Sri Lanka. She said living in the center is safer than going back to her village in the Mullattivu district, where Tamil Tiger rebels were finally defeated in May 2009 after a 30-year-long civil war.

Nithyaraja is among the 70,000 war displaced people still living in welfare centers in Vavuniya, Mannar and Jaffna districts.

"I am afraid of anti-personnel (AP) mines. People say the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) had buried lots of AP mines in our village. I have seen how people's legs blown off when we were fleeing. It was terrible," said 46-year-old Sellamma.

Sellamma lives in the camps with her sick husband and their grandchild. She lost her elder son, a LTTE cadre, two years ago. Then she lost her granddaughter during the last stage of the war as she was conscripted by the LTTE to strengthen the outfit's " baby brigade". She also lost her son-in-law, who was shot dead by the LTTE while the family was crossing the defense line built by the LTTE to prevent civilians from fleeing. "Our lives are shattered," she said. Her husband is suffering from a heart ailment.

Despite her agony, Sellamma is relieved that there is no war any more. She said most of the families living in the center were happy and don't want to suffer again.

GL tells Washington gathering: Lanka exuding confidence

Philip FERNANDO in Washington

External Affairs Minister Prof G.L. Peiris told a packed audience at the Center for Strategic International Studies (CSIS) that Sri Lanka is showing unprecedented confidence, which is the result of durable peace combined with a degree of political stability the country has not enjoyed for quarter of a century.

It is a very laudable record, he said. Sri Lanka had not experienced terrorist incidents since end of the war and “a change of mood in the country- a mood of optimism, of expectation” is present, he added.

Professor Peiris, launched a four-day Washington visit Tuesday with Capitol Hill meetings and a spirited talk at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Minister Peiris will meet State Secretary Hillary Clinton Friday. The Minister was accompanied by Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the United States Jaliya Wickramasuriya. The Minister said the Government has resettled most of the 297,000 people displaced by the 25-year conflict.

The Government has also launched an ambitious reconstruction program to help areas, particularly the North, he said.

“We have achieved a great deal in an extremely short period,” he said. “I think Sri Lanka has to be given due credit for this achievement.”

Creating jobs, he said, has been a vital component of the resettlement and reconciliation effort.

After a year of peace, “Sri Lanka is back on the world’s radar,” Minister Peiris said. He noted that tourism is rapidly increasing, as is foreign investment.

“We have shed the over-powering constraints that have inhibited any kind of development,” he said. “Hotels are coming back. Companies are putting up factories in Trincomalee and Kilinochchi.”

During the CSIS discussion, the Minister was asked about a recent International Crisis Group report alleging that war crimes may have been committed in the final days of the conflict against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).

A crisis group representative stated that the Government failed to respond to the ICG prior to publication of the report, although given an opportunity to do so.

Minister Peiris replied that the Government was never given a copy of the report in advance.

“How can we give any response when we have no indication of the evidence the ICG purports to have?” he asked.

The Minister also noted that the report itself does not offer any real evident crimes, just allegations and accounts from unnamed sources, many of them made previously. Professor Peiris also criticized the unspecific nature of the report, which noted that tens of thousands of people were wounded or killed in the fighting. “What is tens of thousands?” he asked, “Is that 10,000, 50,000, 90,000?”

In that vein, the Minister noted that non-government organizations are not the “International Community,” and that the United Nations Human Rights Council “debated these matters for three days,” and concluded that it would not take action.

Minister Peiris also discussed possible changes to Sri Lanka’s constitution, including the establishment of a bicameral legislature and amendments to the electoral system.

Earlier, Tuesday, the Minister and Sri Lankan Ambassador to US Jaliya Wickramasuriya met Rep. Howard Berman, who chairs the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, as well as Rep. Nita Lowey (D-NY), the Chairperson of the Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations and Related Programs of the House Committee on Appropriations.

The Minister updated the members of Congress on the current situation in Sri Lanka, informing them of the nation’s unprecedented economic development and process of reconciliation.

Minister Peiris will also meet members of Congress and U.S. government officials informing them of the nation’s economic development and process reconciliation, in particular the appointment of a Lessons Learned and Reconciliation Commission in Sri Lanka.

CSIS is one of Washington’s premier think tanks, specializing in foreign affairs and security issues. Its staff includes many former government officials, including former US Ambassador to Sri Lanka Teresita Schaffer who moderated the discussion. The audience for Minister Peiris’ talk included government officials, members of non-governmental organizations, the media and academics.

Sri Lanka plans to provide bunkering facilities at competitive rates to ships from the Hambantota Port

ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

May 27, Colombo: The Sri Lankan government is to continue with the preparation of bunkering facilities at the Southern Hambantota Port in order to provide fuel to ships traveling along the Indian Ocean at competitive rates.

The Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) has dismissed concerns that the Hambantota Port would be affected if India developed new bunkering facilities within its territorial waters.

SLPA Chairman Priyath B. Wickrama has been quoted in the local media saying that despite Indian presence in the market for such facilities, Sri Lanka is to supply fuel to ships at competitive rates and with this in mind the government had held negotiations with several international shipping companies.

"We will not be affected as much as some think we will be. At the moment we handle only 18 to 20 percent of Indian cargo. We will continue to maintain that level in a competitive environment. Singapore and Dubai harbors will be the ones to be affected with India providing bunkering facilities," he has said.

The Hambantota Port is to have both onshore and offshore bunkering facilities.

Most of the soldiers in the 59th knew the Mullathivu jungles by heart. Their familiarity of the jungles and the experience they gained in jungle warfare is really preservation worthy. I hope that our defence academy documents their experience for future use.

"The so called tamiz problem is more precisely tamiz christian problem. A separate peelaam is for sure christian dominant country. One more reason west to be interested in...

Very true.

This is in fact one aspect we have not fully illustrated on (no surprise considering most of our leader have been Christian at heart, even if on paper says they are "Buddhist", coupled to the fact they are Colombian mental slaves) and that is the Buddhism Vs Christianity aspect of the war.

War is sold as Buddhism Vs Hinduism by Tamilia, suddha, kalu-suddhas and NGOs to mask their Christianising agenda.

Amongst many goals it makes Christianity the "religion of peace" and thus "answer" to our problems.

In fact this was the argument put forward by Colombians and Rosy's gang types that we suffer/have war/peace talks fail/LTTE super strong because we are Buddhist and Buddhism is the problem, thus abandon Buddhism = peace, this got busted with LTTEs destruction. In an earlier post i elaborated on this.

Point being if we tell India Buddhism is under threat by Christianity through these NGOs/suddha/colombians etc they will side with us more.
When dealing with India SL must not do things in terms of national boundaries because then Injuns will not support us. However if we do it in term of culture/history/Buddhism which is being destroyed by suddha/Christians they will come rushing to our defence.

Even Toilet Nadu will back down (though not entirely). If you look at the hate and venom from Toilet Nadu it is never against Buddhism.

We must project what we are fighting to defend as defending Buddhism and Buddhist culture from suddha's Christian onslaught to which Tamilia are the active conduit.

Indians will jump to defend us.
However it has to be done on a non-Governmental level, through Indian media and Hindu groups, that should create pressure on Delhi to “think twice”. Our historic and cultural links to North India would bolster the anti-Tamilia sentiment.

Anonymous said...

When i say Toilet Nadu will “back down” i mean that they will not want to appear as being in favour of Christianising SL as that will cause outrage in India and make things difficult for them.

This is the angle we must take when tackling & talking to India. We essentially send the message that if they hold a pro-Tamilia agenda, or in anyway give it breathing space, SL will end up being Christian launch pad that will take its part in the greater scheme by these suddha funded and led groups who are eyeing the bigger prize of tarring Hindu India apart.

Of course it cannot be done by Government directly, needs a third party source/group from SL sending the message to Indian media and Hindu organisations.
Currently though all Buddhist groups (e.g. JHU) in Sri Lanka and pro-SL institutions must pass this message on to Indian media. Need to organise documentaries and other works with Indian media (making sure the news group/journalists are hardcore hindus) to show the destruction that has been done (how war was used to try and destroy Buddhism, included in this is Tsunami activity) and what is being “planned” for the future by these people. Then can link in activities of Tamilia and how these Christianising groups, NGOs all working together.

I think when it comes to sudda-christian related issues MD is biased.

PS

[War is sold as Buddhism Vs Hinduism by Tamilia, suddha, kalu-suddhas and NGOs to mask their Christianising agenda.]

LTTE used hinduism when they want help from India and chritianity (priests) when they want help from west/ INGO mafia.

[Point being if we tell India Buddhism is under threat by Christianity through these NGOs/suddha/colombians etc they will side with us more... Even Toilet Nadu will back down (though not entirely)... Indians will jump to defend us.]

Well, india knows buddism and hinduism are two different things (even though some of us treat them equally). India will never defend SL in that line. But they like buddhist SL rather than christian SL. Buddhism in TN/india is more about low caste issue.

India knows this issue well - its non other than BJP (shiv sena) who labled LTTE as military wing of church. (But they demanded stop war in last stage.)

Another aspect is there are many high ranker in SL military and other areas who are christian (mostly cathelic) and true patriots. So I think we put aside religion in this issue, though its related to the problem in root level.

Anonymous said...

"Another aspect is there are many high ranker in SL military and other areas who are christian (mostly cathelic) and true patriots. So I think we put aside religion in this issue, though its related to the problem in root level."

No disagreements there.

However the war crimes bs is now being used to show "how Buddhists do war, shows they are inhuman, devil following scum". A whole new level of defamation is starting.

My idea with the India angle was to counter this sort of crap with India’s assistance but going through their media/local hindu organs.
Not Government level.

Create awareness (potentially through say a documentary) where suddha’s defamation of us (through war crimes bs etc) is linked to their religious agendas -->root causes of conflict -->Tamilia & Church activities during the war.

Indians see the programme, see how suddha’s lies (through NGOs etc) & war & Tamilia are being used against Buddhism and crushing a culture with links to North Indian history/culture.

It is just one way of countering all the bs against SL that is going completely unchallenaged.

Since RW and SF both are adamant that Thoppigala is just a jungle we should invite LTTE Transinternational Government to rule this Jungle. Sri Lanka has no time for such mere jungles.

These two gentlement will soon utter another grand truth.

Sri Lanka is just a chunk of dirt and Sri Lankans should not have any attachment to this dirt. Again if they grabbed power, they would have immediately invited the Transinternational LTTE Government to relieve ourselves from holding to this dirt.

MD, Pol, Ninja,
I think we should identify the problems as forces working against "Sinhala-Buddhist" culture.

I don't think MD has any problem accepting that Sinhal-Buddhist culture is the main culture of SL and we need to protect it.

Someone who's culturally a Sinhal-Buddhist should have no problem following any religion.

As I said previously in one of my posts, I personally know people who are Catholics by religion but culturally very much Sinhala-Buddhist. Also, we have popular public figures who are great patriots but non-Buddhists. I think even Air force chief was a Catholic during our great war.

If you have any doubts in this regard please check with Jackson Anthony. :)

Gonseka & family reveals his nature

"General’s Army loyalists quit DNA
By our political correspondent

The 14 Army officers, who unsuccessfully contested the April 8 general election on the DNA ticket under the leadership of General Sarath Fonseka, have taken a collective decision to quit the party, informed sources said yesterday.
Among the Army officers set to sever all ties with the DNA is Captain Senaka Silva who functioned as the Secretary of General Fonseka during the latter’s brief political life since retirement.

“The JVP leaders gave these Army officers the cold shoulder during the general election and deliberately kept from campaigning to win votes for the latter. The JVP holds the whip hand in the DNA and those who have been close to the General, have no place in that party,” a source close to the disillusioned officers told The Nation.
The Army officers are also unhappy that they were completely ignored by the General’s family after the general election. “None from the family had made inquiries about us nor could we communicate with General Fonseka or any of his family members, the source explained.

The group of Army officers at long last had a discussion with Anoma Fonseka at the Rajakeeya Mawatha office of the DNA. DNA MP Tiran Alles too had been present at this meeting. “At this discussion, the Army officers had recounted how the JVP leaders had sidelined them and did no campaigning for them at all. And they had been taken aback by the way Anoma Fonseka had reacted to their grievances. She had said, “Don’t say anything against the JVP. There is no political journey for us without the JVP,” the source said.

The Army officers had in reply said, “We are not of the JVP. We, as Army officers, are not interested in politics either. We came into politics because of the General. People voted for the General because he is a war hero responsible for rescuing the country from the clutches of terrorism. We could win more votes if the JVP talked more about the service rendered by the General and Army.”

The Army officers had decided to quit the DNA after this discussion.
Meanwhile, Captain Senaka Silva who was arrested while being in the thick of election propaganda for General Fonseka is now undergoing treatment at the Prisons Hospital. None from the General’s family or from the DNA have visited him so far.

From a chance meeting with Henry Kissinger on the train to Washington DC to running away from a scheduled press meeting at the National Press Club when he came to the 14th floor, checked out who was waiting for him, and then running away without an explanation."

The Democratic National Alliance (DNA) has now launched several campaigns with a view to securing the release of General Sarath Fonseka. The DNA is also making preparations to report to the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association that the Parliamentary privileges and the Fundamental rights of General Fonseka are being violated by his being held in military custody. It is learnt that a team of lawyers are now preparing documentation for the purpose. In the meantime, the DNA has taken the initiative to collect signatures of 50 MPs for a petition to be sent to the President calling for the release of General Fonseka, DNA spokesman Vijitha Herath said.
MPs from the UNP, SLMC and the DNA have signed this petition. But the TNA MPs who backed General Fonseka at the last Presidential election have not signed it.

Pol Sambol, old chap, I was over in Fort Lauderdale last weekend watching the matches. This Fonseka banner and Tamil genocide banner were towed by the same aircraft, so obviously both paid for by Peelam plonkers. Anyhow it was an utter failure as everybody ignored it. There was a Caribbean steel band playing, people chugging down cold beers, dancing and waving of Sri Lankan flags, and mighty cheers of SRI-LANKA, SRI-LANKA. This was the first time ever two ICC teams have played in US. All the funds raised from the matches and Gala dinner Saturday night is going towards Sri Lanka Development fund which will among other projects fund constructing of an international Cricket stadium in Jaffna. This whole weekend was put together by the Sri Lankan embassy and it was a great success.

Also it was heartening to see the security provided to our Ambassador by the city of Fort Lauderdale. He was protected by several burly SWAT team members. Even during Gala dinner hotel ballroom had good police protection. Party continued late into Saturday night and then Sunday early morning and final hardcore party goers ending up in the top floor penthouse. A great time was had by all.

Cheers!

Oh, thanks for explaining that.

How come the funds are not going to help our soldiers, or was that not politically correct enough? Most likely a stadium in Jaffna will be a weapons storage dump and gathering place for Tamilia to plot against SL in a few years. Grim predication but based on sad reality and what history has taught us. (Why not build the stadium in the East? Better choice + Tamils there are not as bad Vs Jaffna).

As for protecting our Ambassador, they have to lol. If he gets injured, threatened or attacked it reflects badly on the US. It is not necessarily a special service rendered to SL.

Look at the rosy picture the Economist paints of the hell hole the white world created:

"The once-notorious “al-Qaeda in Mesopotamia” has been reduced to a core that cannot be deterred or bought off. Yet it is no longer a match for the rapidly expanding army and police. By some estimates more than 1m Iraqis now wear a uniform. The government spends almost a fifth of its budget on wages for security people, and benefits from American help. Improvements in training and equipment have led to the fortification of much of the country. Baghdad alone has an estimated 1,500 checkpoints as well as hundreds of miles of cement blast-walls. The city is more militarised than it was under Saddam Hussein. Even so, life is relatively good. Public parks are full and millions of pilgrims throng to shrines on holidays.

Pol Sambol, old chap, location of the stadium is not final yet, but I heard Jaffna is the leading candidate. If you want to read more about it you can visit Sri Lanka Development Foundation web site. My take on this is that only way to reach these fellows is through younger generation whose minds have not been poisoned yet. What better way to show them a better way to live than play Cricket for a Sri Lankan national team and watch their local Cricket heroes in their own backyard. Once these young punks have a few beers and dance to the tunes of Papara band they will never want to give up their lives for some stupid Peelam cause.

Cheers!

Singapore's Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, in a newly released book titled "Conversations with Lee Kuan Yew,' says that Tamils have been in the island of Sri Lanka as long as the Sinhalese, and that Sri Lanka is not a happy "united" country. The present president of Sri Lanka believes he has settled the problem now that the Tamil Tigers are killed, and wants others to believe that too," and Lee observes:"I don't think they [Tamils] are going to be submissive or go away." Referring to the Sri Lankan president he said: "I have read his speeches and I knew he was a Sinhala extremist. I cannot change his mind.
--------------------------------
Is this what LKY said, or is this a distortion by Tamilnet. If he said this he is a dumb f***k. Who told him the MR believe the problem is solved. And how the hell did he categorize MR as a Sinhalese Extremist. What does he think he was doing in Singapore. Who think it is even a democracy.

Moshe Dyan said...

LKY's anti-SL rantings started after the bugger was convinced SL is going to do well.

hambantota will directly affect singapore.

SL have to have a skilled workforce. we can do everything singapore does at a cheaper cost.

Anonymous said...

What do you expect from that dumbass LKY? He wants to lecture Sri Lanka? Tell him to give people the right to chew gum.

And yeah he is scared.

Singapore will be screwed heavily by Hambantota and if the stupid Thais build the Kra Canal (don't expect much from them) you can completely kiss good bye to Singapore's economic strength. This is why he has made a rant to release his frustrations that "his little miracle" can be dead within 20 years and Singapore will go back to being the drug barn and secret pirate island it is at heart.

He is scared about Hambantota. It is why he bribed CBK not to build it and also bribes Thais (no surprise there). The ousting of Thaksin was also backed by Singapore (Thaksin was contemplating the Kra Canal).

Strong leaders are always attacked, the former Malaysian PM -forget his name- was attacked in a similar fashion, albeit nothing even close to the harassment MR has received. And in both Malaysia and Singapore there was no sakyilliya opposition to undermine the nation NOR Tamils allowed to question the dominance of the majorities (no bloody separatist parties allowed). It is why Tamils target Sri Lanka.

Using LKYs dumb logic Tamils have been in Singapore as long as Malays and Chinese Hikz. It is a fact that Tamil “rage” and “nationalism” from everywhere else in the world is channelled to Sri Lanka, this is why these other despots want conflict in Sri Lanka to be here forever to ensure their stability and it is why they are against SL.

India "pressured Sri Lanka" over Howard

By Bipin Dani From: The Daily Telegraph May 30, 2010 2:31PM

THE Indian cricket board pressured Sri Lanka to join its oppostion to the nomination of former Australian Prime Minister John Howard as ICC vice-president.
"The Indian cricket board had threatened to cut off its ties with Sri Lanka if no support is extended to oppose John Howard", a well-placed source in London told The Daily Telegraph.

Zimbabwe, Sri Lanka, South Africa and India are opposed to Howard's appointment, with his actions against Robert Mugabe's despotic regime in Zimbabwe and his comments about Sri Lanka spin bowler Muttiah Mularitharan appearing to act against him.

Another source said Pakistan was likely to also opposed Howard's nomination.

It has also been revealed Sri Lanka cricket did not consult with the country's sports minister, as they are required to do, before opposing John Howard's nomination for ICC vice-president.

Sri Lanka's sports minister, C.B Ratnayake, said he would discuss the matter with SLC board officials. The SLC board, unlike those in Asia's other Test playing nations, (India, Pakistan and Bangladesh) is bound to seek the approval of its sports minister for any major policy decision.

Any reason for India to oppose? Is this good or bad for SL?

[Apsara hands over letter to Hillary

(Lanka-e-News, May 30, 2010,5.45 PM)

Apsara Fonseka, daughter of General Sarath Fonseka, has handed over a letter to the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton last Friday.

This letter was handed over to Hillary Clinton’s assistant chief of staff a few hours before foreign Minister Prof G.L Pieris’s scheduled meeting with the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, on Friday in Washington DC.

Apsara Fonseka and three other Sri Lankans, who are co- founders of the Mission Sri Lanka Foundation rights organization have signed the letter.

The letter stated that Sri Lanka was seriously mishandling current foreign policy which will lead to disastrous consequences.

The letter states “China, Russia, Myanmar, Iran, and Libya have now become the government’s closest allies. The projects funded by the Chinese government dwarf all other bilateral aid. In February 2010, Russia gave 300 million USD credit to Sri Lanka, most likely the biggest such donation ever given to Sri Lanka, even compared to the days when the Soviet Union gave assistance. The Sri Lankan government continues to purchase arms when the country has a surplus of weapons and 150,000 soldiers who could deal with any potential future insurgency. Most of these arms purchases are from China. It is reported that the Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) is now making attempts to embrace North Korea for the country’s military needs”. This letter also stated that the government is illegally detaining former Commander of the Army, Gen. Sarath Fonseka.

wow If not for this stupid letter Hilary will not know any thing about this. HIKz. Both fsther and daughter knows how to show stupidity. Even with US degree.. gens must be so powerful. HIKz.

[Near 300,000 eligible Tamil citizens are not registered as voters

-Mano Ganesan writes to Election commissioner

(Lanka-e-News, May 29, 2010, 1.35PM)

Near 300,000 eligible Tamil citizens are not registered as voters in the electoral registers held by Election Commissioner. Elections department should take additional efforts and implement novel methods outside the traditional revision processes to correct this under registration before any Electoral reforms. No reforms will be complete unless it incorporates the fair and free voter registration process said DPF leader Mano Ganesan in his urgent letter to Elections commissioner Dayananda Dissanayake. DPF media communiqué released to media says further that,

Large numbers of legally eligible members of Tamil community are not registered as voters. This matter is a long standing issue faced by Tamil people live in the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Matale, Ratnapura, Kegalle, Badulla and Puttalam. You used the 2008 registers for the elections held this year. The estimated national population in year 2008 is 20,217,000. The registered voters in 2008 are 14,088,500. This is 69% against the population count. This is not anyway reflected among the Tamil community living in the above southern districts. Survey done by us has found that approximately 300,000 eligible Tamil speaking plantation workers and urban residents are being deprived of their basic voting rights. We waited all these years until the war is over. Current post war era demands free and fair and equitable democratic representation for the Tamil community at all legislative tiers.

Your traditional methods used in the electoral register revision processes have failed. Performances of certain officials and enumerators in this process are not satisfactory. I also accept that the lukewarm attitude of the people themselves are also is a reason here. But however I request you to implement more practical methods outside your traditional process to correct this serious shortcoming.

We are aware that voter numbers in certain districts in the north and east are over registered. Voter lists used for the elections currently in the territories which were held by LTTE until recently are not updated. We are aware that your department is planning to regularize the statistics in the north and some area of the east. But however no progress is visible on the issue of under registration of prospective Tamil voters in the southern districts. This tends to become more sensitive issue in the context of the proposed electoral reforms. Therefore we are calling for your urgent attention for rapid action plan to undo this irregularity before any electoral reforms take place.
]

What this mano gonason is smoking?

"The estimated national population in year 2008 is 20,217,000.
The registered voters in 2008 are 14,088,500.
This is 69% against the population count."

National population is every one while registered voters are only above 18 and those who did register. Even gonseka didn't register as he didn't want to vote.

His survey team (if such survey existed) must be smoking the same thing as their jobless leader.

The mistake is he belived Sri Lankas are a greatful nation. Im a Sri Lankan but im a shamed of calling my self a Sri Lankan. No By far all Sri Lankas are cheept and most ungratefull. What happen to the STF, Army personals?? Those who worship your father, the Great General SF. Re: Apsara Fonseka

LOL what a thick bitch.

The country is "mishandling" its foreign affairs? HUH? So if we don't dance and spit shine suddha's shoes we are mishandling "foreign affairs"? Colombians must also be very concerned.

And why go to North Korea for weapons? We can get the same from China. (Bet she's pissed hubby didn't get that contract which daddy ordered). Thats just been thrown in with regards to latest tension in Korea.

As for "credit deal" with Russia, seriously? Is that a big deal? We got same from Pakistan and India, but both are US allies (to varying degrees) so naturally both are omitted, as is the fact SL has good relations with India (at least on the face of it or the fact North Korea is linked directly to JVP). Compare this to UNP time and Gonseka who said India was an enemy and said the nation should be ready to fight India.

Now for any doubters on who is pulling who’s strings: Gonseka was suddha's man in Colombo (this kind of retard know wonder Blake cultivated him so well) which explains the election activity + "out rage" over Gonseka's arrest.

It is also clear that the West wanted LTTE to destabilise India when/if India gets strong and capable of standing by itself like China by causing problems with Toilet Nadu (separatists war), which is why they wanted an organisation like the LTTE in Sri Lanka. If you look at Senate Report they mention this fact, that LTTE can cause problem in Toilet Nadu. Hence why they wanted the LTTE to exist forever by keeping conflict at SL at manageable level then escalate it on their terms (green light separate state). Which also explains what happened during Ranils time. That gona did everything his masters told him yet they did nothing in return for his slavery –such as reigning in or controlling the LTTE/forcing them to abide by the ceasefire which is what in the end resulted in Ranils downfall.

With LTTE over and done with (all their bs human rights failing to pressurise the Government to stop the Army knowing that their was nothing they could do to stop it physically as their LTTE proved useless) they tried to save the LTTE leadership, knowing that so long as Praba and the gang were alive and well war in SL could continue and this “icon” would be their for Toilet Nadu to rally around as well. Hence why West committed war crimes by ordering human shield to create conditions to justify intervention to save LTTE leadership, do not forget Blakes role in brining in aircraft to fly LTTE leadership to safety or him running off to Tamil Nadu in February to cause problems there.

It is why Gonseka wanted LTTE leadership to escape. He made deal with Blake. Plus his promise of long term insurgency he kept telling us would plague the nation for decades, more deal for his son in laws company (which is allowed to operate in the US, despite a ban on any Military related company dealing with SL). Remember this SoB kept on telling us Praba+family HAD already escaped to Malaysia or Toilet Nadu.

He goes to US to plan election campaign. Adds to the propaganda against SL due to his desire for vengeance + masters orders, both work together. All the crap about HR, war crimes, IDPs (Gonseka insisted they be kept) +even corruption with Tsunami funds released by Transparency International (which itself proved to be highly corrupt) was all designed to bulldoze MR Government standing, paint picture as “evil”, demonise and dehumanise the enemy and thus push regime change/create grounds to “punish” MR (and of course that is done by punishing Sinhala people through sanctions & demonisation & dehumanisation etc for keeping MR as leader).

Anonymous said...

Imagine if Gonseka seized power?

Gonseka as puppet leader does what West wants. Kills all Rajapakses, sells out country & its resources to suddha. While he gets rich & runs a dictatorship, he crushes all opposition, wipes out SLFP, jails UNP, carries out a few blood baths, people get poor & miserable, Tamils see grounds to re-start struggle (excuse like: gonseka breaking his election promises + killings), create launch pad for Wests anti-Indian activities + missionaries will flood the country to provide “salvation”. Not to mention hatred for the Army will then grow. Army is loved and seen as our saviour; with Gonseka fully in control he will use the Army to assert his authority resulting in people turning against our own Army.

Highly pro-West stance coupled with Gonseka’s character he will give a lot of verbal bile to India that will turn India openly against SL (and thus have them support create instability & problems in SL, thus more room for bloodshed & insurgency, hence LTTE returns –if LTTE leadership alive bringing back LTTE is easier). It will be like what happened during Jrtime all over again but probably worse, in addition to West supporting any Tamil insurgencies against Gonseka (but keeping their support secret like they have done these last 2 decades).

In the end SL will be run by mad dictator who will spit on the countries that helped us (China, Russia) in favour of US, ending with SL isolated from the World solely dependent on the West. If Gonseka then gets out of line with West they will sanction & attack SL like Iraq & Saddam.

Anonymous said...

While I do not care what happens to India, I am just illustrating how SL was a pawn in the Wests greater geo-political games (hence supporting TE in secret), why they want to get rid of Rajapakse (through whatever bs) and why they backed Gonseka (the “potential” he had described in my above post). We should not forget that Gonseka did not operate alone and his recent activities against SL and Rajapakse are the creation of the West (why else do you think he is so confident? And when he entered Parliament waved to his EU & US buddies?). Tamilia had NOTHING to do with it.

These are the games PARA SUDDHA plays.
Note the fact that whatever Tamilia had to say about Gonseka before (which suddha was being “mislead by”) NEVER stopped, they still called him a war criminal and genocider and wanted his head. The West which “listened” to Tamilia over Gonseka, suddenly stopped listening when he confirmed he was 100% on board (after his trip to the US in October). In fact suddha’s “actions” against Gonseka throughout the last 4 years was significantly less compared to their “action” against MR/GR (as he was Blakes inside man) despite the high level and equal amount of “misleading” bile Tamilia said against all 3.

If Gonseka came to power the Wests human rights bs and negative media reporting would stop so long as he plays ball, despite however many people he kills. Once he goes against the West then the bs will start.
Just see the way they positively reported for Gonseka during his election campaign despite the foul language, death threats and bribes, they NEVER mentioned any of it while disseminating bs against MR (well continuation of what they have been doing for the last 4 years). The way suddhas media operated during the election proves again that it is NOT Tamilia “misleading” OR bribed (“on LTTE pay roll”) but para suddha media’s editorial policies following what the State Department/Foreign Office issue as “guidelines”. In fact this positive reporting for Gonseka continues to this day, not once do they mention the $500,000 he stashed away. This is best seen when MR spoke to Strait Times. In it he called Gonseka a fool to enter politics so soon. The very next sentence talks about the $500K. Western media GRABBED the “fool” comment and twisted it around (to show “hatred” and “evilness” of MR) while completely ignoring the bit right next to it which mentioned the $500K.

If this comment is from a genuine sinhala reader this is a great achievement for LeN. The sole pupose of their web site (except for half naked pics) is to create this sort of hatredness among public and they can be happy now they have at least one follower.

That dumbo must relate to JVP somehow. UNPers usually are not society haters unlike JVPers. I recall in 1988 some wrote on wall "JR maramu". Obvously this was a result of JVP brain wash + IPKF invasion. But that dumbo who worshipped RohanaW and wrote on wall to kill JR didn't know what happen if one kills JR. (Then RP become president automatically and with 5/6 power of parliament.)

JVP is usually successful planting hatredness among youth who already hate their parents, family, themselves and society. (In this regard JVP beats LTTE.) Anyway, it seems that dumbfcuk doesn't know how to use a pistol so he is waiting until some one do it for him. I think, still SLA MI should keep their eyes open....

[The refugee status of a woman from Sri Lanka has been cancelled after it was found that she lied when she arrived in New Zealand nine years ago. The woman claimed to have been persecuted as a spy and a supporter of the Tamil Tiger rebels, despite living in Switzerlandwhen the alleged events happened.

After she was granted New Zealand citizenship in 2006, Swiss authorities alerted New Zealand counterparts that she had lived in Switzerland for five years and was turned down for asylum twice.

She was found guilty of immigration fraud and jailed for 13 months in 2008. The Refugee Status Appeals Authority has rejected her argument that the persecution happened before she fled to Switzerland. Her New Zealand citizenship is now being reviewed.

India’s debt to Sri Lanka

By S. L. Gunasekara
May 31, 2010

It is wholly unthinkable for a Head of State of a sovereign state to take any draft of proposals [whether the first or the last] for constitutional reform to a prime minister of a foreign country for his approval!

Yet, the Asian Tribune reports that President Mahinda Rajapaksa proposes to take the first draft of the Proposals for Constitutional Reform to the Prime Minister of a foreign country – namely India. Since it is hardly likely that such draft would be taken to Manmohan Singh for his ‘reading pleasure’, it must follow, if that report is true (I sincerely hope it is not), that the draft will be taken to Manmohan Singh to obtain his approval! Why on earth should the Head of State of Sri Lanka take to the Prime Minister of any foreign country any draft of proposed constitutional reforms of our small but sovereign country for his approval?

The Asian Tribune has also reported that India is bringing pressure to bear on Sri Lanka to fully implement the 13th Amendment as a quid pro quo for India’s assistance to Sri Lanka to crush the LTTE (in the last stages of the ‘war’).

All these news items appear to spring from the wholly false premise that Sri Lanka is indebted to India for its assistance in crushing the LTTE. The truth, however, is the opposite – for it is India that is now and will forever be, in debt to Sri Lanka for the damage caused to our People and our property by terrorists nurtured, trained and armed by the Government of India, with at least the full and complete knowledge that those terrorists would use the skills imparted and weaponry gifted to them by India to murder our citizens and destroy our property on our soil.

Even though India did help us to destroy the LTTE at the last stages of the ‘war’, that, to my mind, does not in any way make Sri Lanka indebted to India – because there would have been no ‘war’, which lasted thirty years, but for India’s unforgivable and treacherous behavior as the ‘Regional Thug’ (or ‘Regional Power’ as those addicted to the dishonest lingo of diplomacy would describe her). We must not forget now or at any time hereafter that it was India that nurtured, trained and armed the LTTE and other terrorist gangs to kill our citizens and destroy our property and enmesh us in a war that took thirty years to end. Let us also never forget that when we were on the verge of crushing those ‘terrorist protégés’ of India in 1987, it was India that prevented us from doing so by the use of raw thuggery. Had India not so used its thuggery at that stage, tens of thousands of lives and billions of rupees worth of public property and funds would have been saved.

Ananda-USA said...

India’s debt to Sri Lanka

........continued 1...
I do not, by this, mean that we must bear a grudge against India or exhibit signs of animosity towards her. What I do mean is that when India or any other person attempts to tell us that we must respect India’s ‘concerns’ and/or be grateful to India for helping us to crush the LTTE at the last stages, we must never fail to recall these facts so as to put the matter in its proper perspective. It is true, no doubt, that India sent the IPKF and that the Tigers killed over a thousand of her troops – but all this springs from the treacherous acts of India in training and arming the LTTE and other terrorists groups to murder our citizens on our soil and destroy our property. Thus, while I do sympathize with the families of Indian troops who were killed, maimed or injured, I cannot help observing that it was ‘poetic justice’ that Indian troops as well as India’s ‘favourite son’, Rajiv Gandhi were killed by those whom India trained and equipped to kill.

The constitution of our country is a matter entirely for us, and not for India, not for the Maldives Islands nor any other country on this earth. Likewise, the question of whether the Northern and Eastern Provinces are to be remerged or not is also a matter entirely for our country and not for India nor the United States of America nor any other country on this earth.

In this regard, we must remember that the sole issue that should engage our minds when engaging in the exercise of constitutional reform is whether the new constitution will serve the needs of our people.

That bundles of garbage called the Indo-Lanka Accord and the 13th Amendment forced down our throats by means of India’s naked thuggery and the pusillanimity of our then President J. R. Jayewardene are incapable of benefiting our country. Those bundles of garbage did not provide for devolution of power to the ‘People’, but only for the conferment of excessive powers on the leaders of our political parties most of whom were possessed of ambition instead of principle, and avarice instead of commitment to the ‘People’. The numerous outrageously shoddy and equally opportunistic alliances forged in Colombo by the leaders of parties for elections to those `White Elephants’ called Provincial Councils without even a passing thought for whether there was agreement on policy, and the ‘tippexing fiascos’ at the local authority and parliamentary elections constitute a small part of the evidence that makes evident the magnitude of the disaster imposed on this Country by those bundles of garbage.

The extent to which such garbage has served to create or exacerbate communal strife was exemplified by the struggle for the Chief Ministership of the Eastern Province in the aftermath of the election thereto when one faction claimed that `Pillaiyan’ should be Chief Minister because he was a Tamil and the other that Hisbullah should be Chief Minister because he was a Muslim, with neither faction paying even a minute fraction of a thought for who was more competent!

Ananda-USA said...

India’s debt to Sri Lanka

......continued 2...
There is no reason at all why our sovereign nation should formulate for the governance of our Country a constitution that will help the foreign Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to satisfy or appease the raucous and wholly idiotic demands of the rabble-rousing politicians of Tamil Nadu.

We must also bear in mind the fact that the garbage called the Indo Lanka Accord is in no way binding on us. Even if that so-called ‘Accord’ had been entered into by us voluntarily, India by blatantly violating her most fundamental obligation under it by failing to disarm or ensure the disarming of the LTTE and other terrorist gangs by August 3, 1987, and being an idle [and perhaps approving spectator] of the grisly sight of armed LTTE terrorists slaughtering over 200 Sinhalese and Muslim civilians between Trincomalee and Chenkaladi between the September 30 and the October 7, 1987, rendered that piece of garbage a dead letter, and/or absolved us of any duty [even if such existed] of complying with any of its terms.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has no mandate from the People of this country to fashion a constitution according to the demands of India.

One reason that motivated the people including me to vote for Mahinda Rajapaksa was the exemplary manner in which he withstood foreign pressure. The mandate he received therefore behoves him to continue to withstand such pressure from whatever source it comes.

Mahinda Rajapaksa owes it to the Nation to maintain that sturdy independence he earlier displayed and thereby endeared himself to us all.

The CENSUS we have been agitating for to be conducted in 2011!

................
Sri Lanka's first nation wide census in three decades in 2011

ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

May 31, Colombo: Sri Lanka is planning to hold the first nationwide census in 30 years, the Hindu reported.

The last nationwide population count was taken in 1981 and the 1991 and 2001 census were not held in the parts of the Northern Province that were under heavy influence of Tamil Tiger rebels that were fighting for a separate state until they were crushed last year.

The first census island wide is to be held in 2011. The estimated population is 21 million now.

"Lack of accurate data on population, particularly in the Northern Province, has been a hindrance in planning developmental and other projects. Even the voters' lists with the Election Commission are considered to be wide off the mark," said The Hindu newspaper.

"For instance, in the Northern Province, the percentage of voting in the April parliamentary election was below 25 per cent. The low percentage is not exactly a reflection of lack of enthusiasm as a majority of the voters on the rolls are believed to have migrated out of the province," it further said.

ENOUGH Indian Missions! Already!

.................
India to open more diplomatic missions in Sri Lanka

Sutirtho Patranobis, Hindustan Times
Colombo, May 30, 2010

India have requested permission from the Sri Lankan government to open two more diplomatic missions in north and south of the country, a newspaper report said on Sunday.

The Sunday Times reported that India has sought clearance from Sri Lanka to open the two new deputy high commissions in Jaffna in the north and Hambantota in the south.

India currently has a high commission in Colombo – one of its largest worldwide – and a deputy high commission in the central hill town of Kandy.

In the first week of May, India inaugurated a visa processing centre in Jaffna, which many see as a precursor to the opening of a mission. And on Monday, India will also open another privately outsourced visa processing centre in Kandy.

A diplomat in the High Commission of India did not want to comment, saying it would not be appropriate before these and other issues are discussed during President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s three-day visit to New Delhi, beginning June 8, where he is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The Sunday Times speculated that the only reason India would want a diplomatic mission in Hambantota would be to counter the expanding Chinese influence in the area. It is in Hambantota – Rajapaksa belongs to the district – where China is building a port. Many strategic experts see the port as part of China’s 'string of pearls' policy to encircle India with strategic ports in the Indian Ocean region.

"The only reason attributable is its decision to directly confront what many Indian watchers sees as India’s growing sensitivity to China’s increasing economic development programmes in the Hambantota district. In return, India has offered a multi-million dollar economic package for the reconstruction of the north -- especially rebuilding the northern railway, the Kankesanthurai harbour and the Palali airport," the newspaper report said.

Sri Lankan President says police powers cannot be devolved to provinces

ColomboPage News Desk, Sri Lanka.

May 30, Colombo: Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has told the Times of India in an interview that police power could not be given to provinces.

Responding to a question on whether a statement made by the President recently that he had learnt a lot from India's mistake in handing police control to state governments and if it was an excuse for not implementing the 13th Amendment, Rajapaksa has said that police powers cannot be decentralized.

"India is a huge country you can't compare it with Sri Lanka. I always say that police powers can't be given to provinces," he has said.

"There are too many issues. Look what happened during the Mumbai attacks, when it took so much time to get the commandos, because all kinds of clearances were required. That is why I feel that police powers on the island should be centralized," the President has observed.

How will we afford and support this SLDF? Involve the SLDF in Nation Building infrastructure construction work in addition to their normal duties to supplement their income and extend their expertise. Eight months active duty and military training .. four months nation building duty, in rotation.

But, NEVER ALLOW the SLDF STRENGTH TO DEGRADE!

Recruitment scaled down but still higher than pre-2005 level

By Shamindra Ferdinando

Maj. Gen. Prasad Samarasinghe says a fresh opportunity will be given to deserters to leave the army in June.

With the conclusion of the war, the Army has sharply scaled down recruitment to fighting elements, though thousands will have to be taken in to maintain the existing strength of over 200,000 officers and men.

Responding to a query by The Island, Military Spokesman Maj. Gen. Prasad Samarasinghe said that the recruitment in the post-LTTE era would have to be more than the pre-2006 period.

He pointed out that the Army had had a strength of about 120,000 before the outbreak of eelam war IV in mid 2006.

During Gen Sarath Fonseka’s tenure as Commander, the army recruited over 80,000, mostly to the infantry to meet the conventional LTTE threat. The Navy and the SLAF, too, increased their strength, while the government authorised the Civil Defence Force to double its strength.

Maj. Gen. Samarasinghe said recruitment would continue to retain the existing strength.

A high ranking official asserted that once the rehabilitation, reconstruction and resettlement process was over the government would review its position.

He said that there would have to be major changes in the disposition of the armed forces and police, including the STF in a post-war era. He pointed out that the concept of deployment of troops on a holding role, too, would have to be reviewed.

An Army headquarters official said that they were in a position to deploy additional forces under UN command. Recently, a small contingent of troops joined a UN mission in Chad, while Sri Lanka continues to maintain about 1,000 troops in Haiti.

Maj. Gen. Samarasinghe said the Army would give another opportunity to deserters to leave the service next month.

According to him, deserters could report to the Panagoda cantonment between June 7 and June 30.

The Army will ask deserters to surrender their national identity cards if they were categorised as soldier/officer and all other forms of identification.

Acts to protect Buddhism

Rasika Somarathna

Clauses included to prevent forced conversions:

Allowance for needy temples:

Five Acts are to be introduced to preserve Buddhism and the Maha Sangha for the future generation, Prime Minister D.M. Jayaratne said. He said a preliminary proposal was presented to Cabinet during its last deliberations. According to the Prime Minister, the proposals include the creation of a Sangha Sabha comprising leading Buddhist monks to advise the Government on matters related to Buddhism.

The Acts would also include clauses to prevent forced religious conversions and methods to establish a dialogue within religious circles to discuss new trends in Buddhism and its applicability.

Prime Minister Jayaratne made these observations during a discussion with Atamasthanadipathi Ven. Pallegama Sirinivasa Thera in Anuradhapura. The Premier also noted that in addition to the five Acts, the Government was contemplating on introducing several other initiatives to meet rural temples needs.

One such effort is to provide an allowance to needy temples in rural areas to improve their infrastructure and supplement other necessities. Another move is to allow temples to lease land to the State which are owned by them under the Temporalities Ordinance and use the earnings to meet the maintenance costs of the temples.

Missionaries a 'threat' to Sri Lanka?

Allie Martin - OneNewsNow - 5/31/2010

Sri LankaBuddhist leaders in Sri Lanka may soon pass an anti-conversion law that would punish Christian missionaries working in the country.

The proposed law calls for penalties, including fines and prison time for anyone who tries to convert a Sri Lankan citizen from one religion to another by using force, fraud or allurement.

The measure was drafted by a political party whose leadership is comprised of Buddhist monks. A leader of that party has said that U.S.-funded Christian missionaries are one of the country's greatest threats.

K.P. YohannanK.P. Yohannan is president of Gospel for Asian (GFA), a ministry which has missionaries working in Sri Lanka.

"Persecution in Sri Lanka is not uncommon. Hard-line Buddhists and Hindus attacking Christians and persecuting is a continuous problem," he points out. "But pray that somehow the freedom to preach the gospel and help the poor and needy will remain, because the hard-line anti-Christian politicians are very much wanting to pass that law."

[Pillay insists on Lanka war probe

GENEVA — The UN human rights chief maintained yesterday that Sri Lanka needed an international probe into the government’s final offensive against the LTTE last year, according to Western media reports.

Navi Pillay, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, noted that the Sri Lanka government had created a post-war reconciliation commission to look into alleged human rights violations, and provide justice to victims.

"However, based on previous experience and new information, I remain convinced that such objectives would be better served by establishing an independent international accountability mechanism that would enjoy public confidence, both in Sri Lanka and elsewhere," she said in a report published by AFP.

Pillay assessed that some progress had been made since the end of the conflict in the return and resettlement of displaced people.

"Concrete initiatives must now follow to provide justice and redress to victims and generally to promote accountability and longer-term reconciliation," she added in the agency report.

This Pillay should be appointed as spokesperson for TGTE or that stateless peelaam government.

ok, i expect some to abuse me on this but who cares. this is the reality. this trend MUST be stopped.

how to stop it???

now i'm not saying it actually happens. all i say is, if PPL see something good happening to them by adopting a new religion, they should be allowed to do so.

if Mr X's wife screws Mr Y on a regular basis and Mr X wants to keep his wife, no point X blaming Y. it is Mrs X's free will. divorce her (same end result) or get her to denounce Y voluntarily. there is nothing else to do.

Undergrads vow to stop private university plan
They’re barking up the wrong tree – SB

IUSF and JVP in 1986-1989 era destroyed the future of many generations. I firmly believe that JVP and these IUSF punks are social cancers requiring radiation therapy. These IUSF monkeys get free ride and everything the people can afford for their higher education and the only thing they do is destroying the very same nation who gave them everything. This behavior is in stark contrast with our soldiers. They go to serve the country with the promise that they will give their lives to defend the nation with nothing in return. I simply hope that these IUSF and JVP maggots will be grateful to the great sacrifices by our heroes at minimum.

Unlike the primary and secondary educations, the free as in free beer higher education systems is limited to a very few selected students in Sri Lanka. These IUSF maggots need to understand that they are given a privilege to study at the expense of tax payers of Sri Lanka. There are many families who send their children to a foreign country by selling everything they have since their child could not score enough marks for university admission. I believe that these kids deserve a better chance than the bastards in IUSF who destroy the very same system that gave everything. Perhaps, we should introduce a system to expel any student who abuses the taxpayer sponsored university education.

[Undergrads vow to stop private university plan]

Read the comments from nimal500 (another monkey) at LNP.

Now when you go to SL universities cost is paid by tax payer. The other option is you pay cost and send kids abroad for higher education.

Private universities starting means you get more options; You can pay cost and send kids abroad or you pay cost and send kids private universities in SL - while usual free education remains same -if you get selected to state universities cost paid by tax payer.

What JVP says is "NO other option - either you get selected to a state university - tax payer pay cost or go abroad by your money". In other words JVP wants some SL people not to have higher education.

indian invasion of SL is bad in many ways.

1. it leads to the establishment of the indian model in SL. and that means a TAMIL MADU in SL!!!!

2. it leads to SL's economic ruin. indians will flock to SL to rob whatever they can. if we think sudda is bad, wait till the indians are here.

3. RAW MFs will be ALL OVER SL having fun. they will decide who rules SL and how it is ruled.

4. they will force SL (they have already done so) to accept the UNLIMITED number of kallathonis coming to SL. soon SL will be KL.

5. china, pakistan, bangla, etc. who are our friends will see us as enemies. we are losing our BEST FRIENDS to india!!! who damn foolish.

6. our biggest donor and potential investor - china will be forced out of the country.

that will be lovely. we will have to go to EU with our begging bowls and agree to TE to get a few million $s!!!

UNP will be their darlings, not SLFP and jarapassas will be kicked out of politics. a good punishment for forgetting their true friends.

7. SL will become a SAFE launching pad of propoganda and military attacks on pakistan, china, etc. they will attack back SL, not india!!!

lovely. unfortunately jara-passas would be in the USA by then. then it wil be sri lankans not tamil elamists who will bring war crimes charges against them.

8. but the BIGGEST shitt of india is none above. it is india will PRE-EMPT any chinese stronger political/military connection to SL. that means SL is trapped without access to its good friends. it is about isolating SL from china. it is about raping SL by india before china marries her. afterwards china will lose interest and only use her for temporary gratification.

most of our patriots are silent on this bcos they don't want to hurt jara-passas. they think i'm mad or multipolar has stolen my ID.

i demand our patriots to challenge this view if they can.

India control all neighbors except PK. B'desh, Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan are all unofficial Indian provinces. India has problem with SL only becuz of China.

India, China and US all want to exploit SL. JR thought he can rule SL with US help while attacking India and he got screwed with entire SL. If MR expects China help against India probably the same result he will get. I think MR tries to reduce the Indian invasion by arselicking Indians.

The first thing MR did when he became president was to worship Indian embassy (by visiting it contrary to all diplomatic norms, possibly due to lack of knowledge). I think its BR and GR who dealt India during war. EVen now MR is bluffing with some brother sister crap with India. Now he is presenting new constituion to India for reveiw.

I don't see a way to stop Indian invasion (economic wise which is happening now and othing to talk about military wise) we have to accept it. This is a sure outcome when you live in a small country with a big country near to you. Since India anyway invade SL why MR arselicking India?

Few weeks ago int. media/ LeN and other INGo media highlighted the 'danger' of increased Chineese presence in SL and how SL is going to be Chineese colony. I think RAW may be behind such propaganda. All pelamists suported anti-Chineese propaganda as they know they have zero chance with China but more with India for some thing closer to peelaam.

There is no point blaming MR for this. India will play their way no matter who rules SL. Any leader will be helpless in this international game. (Unless there is a UNP rule and UNP says to India "wait babujee we have to firstresolve crisis in our own party and electa leader" and India says ok.

[Bollywood's leading stars may skip their annual awards festival, which is being held in Sri Lanka this week, following protests from pro-Tamil rebel lobbies in India, officials said Monday.]

Possibly the 4 most popular starts have decided to boycott the event submitting to TN (of course given other excuses.)

Amitabh Bachchan
Abhishek Bachchanand
Aishwarya Rai
Shah Rukh Khan

I think good job so far by TN monkeys.

There is a sinhala lot who worship these hindi stars while almost no tamils do so. But when it comes to choice between SL vs TN they choose TN!!!

"There is no point blaming MR for this. India will play their way no matter who rules SL. Any leader will be helpless in this international game."

this is unacceptable. if we followed the same strategy during war we are still sleeping with vezapillai!!

remember when bloody india told us to,

1. stop the war and have a political solution.

2. have a political solution regardless of the war

3. SL should not buy chiense/pakistani weapons

4. SL should go to india to buy all weapons

5. india will give whatever weapons india wants to SL

???????????

did we collapse under indian pressure???? no.

i disagree that india rules the region.

bangladesh is not pro-indian more than it is pro-chinese. burma is another regional country although not part of SAARC. tibet yet another one now part of china. china is also in the region north of india!!!

nepal also has chinese influence. bhutan and maldives are negligible.

if we try to screw china, we will get screwed and that is going to be much worse than india. even if we don't intend to, if we become too close to india it gives the message to china that we are not very keen on china than india.

which country will protect SL interests more??? china

which country does not GIVE A DAMN about how we arsefcuk TEs???? china

which country can save us at the UN security council???? china

which country gives us more money???? china

which country is tied to SL's future prosperity thorugh many DEVELOPMENT projects including hambantota???? china

if a cold war develops between india and china (which is happening) where will SL be safer???? the chinese camp

economically where will SL be safer???? the chinese camp

who interferes with SL more???? india

who is sympathetic to TE???? india

the answer is clear.

if we give up, TE will become a reality. india is very happy with TE as long as it licks motherindia's hot spicy cuntt.

this means we won the war but lost the country!!!

remember what happened to WARSAW countries and cuba????? that is what is going to happen to SL if we go with india.

india during JRJ time was different. then india was very influential bcos the russian dick was in motherindia's hole. now india gives blow jobs to uncle sam and uncle ruslan and no one gives her a damn. both sam and ruslan want excellent relations with china.

1. now i think it was GR who dispatched SF to china on may 11.

he guessed india will not approve SL wiping out vezapillai's crowd. so by putting pressure on india through china, we ensured india OKed it. mad SF bought US$200 million chinese stuff whereas our total capital (this actually interprets to total import budget including non-capital stuff as well) budget was only US$177 million for the full year!!

good job for the purpose.

after the war, we cancelled the order!!! as expected.

2. it was india that appointed vijay nambier to accept LTTE's surrender. india thought since sathish nambier (vijay's brother) was the defence consultant to SL, we will listen to him.

but we took him to the KIA toilet and fcuked him in his arsse!!!!

3. when we tried to buy a 3D radar from china, india begged us not to and gave us 3 free 2D indra radars.

4. when we tried to buy 22 al khalid chinese/pakistani tanks india begged us not to and gave 15 T-55 tanks free.

5. dispite india begging us not to, we purchased chinese F-7s.

6. dispite india begging us not to, we OKed china for the hambantota port. this was put off by all previous govt.s

7. we killed hundreds of indian fishermen when they crossed to our waters.

why fear india when we can manage it with the help of BIGGER boys?????

china has a plan for india but india doesn't have a response for china.

Excellent analysis between India & China as to their influence on us.

I wish if MR or GR reads this blog...

You guessed right yesterday as I posted a comment but the name came as Punya from my G-mail account. Then I thought that the members will suspect who this new guy is and copied and reposted as Hiranthe... good guess and sorry Sam for the mishap.

We should not give in to Sakkily Indians. When it comes to attitude, whether one is from TN or any part of India, it is the same.. They are a selfish bunch. That is why they are hated in Western countries and in Australia. Their film stars are no difference.

as Ananda said we should strengthen our defence forces regardless and be in the China camp and in between share a meal with India just to keep things around simple. If we allow RAW to operate in SL freely, we are going to have more trouble even economically, in addition to political problems. We should not allow them to play big brother role. Even ponna Ran-nil always runs to India… even if he has diarrhoea. With these acts, they automatically think that we look up on them.

there is no need to make india our enemy. india must accept SL's INDISPOSABLE need for china.

if motherindia insists that SL is her daughter, fine. but motherindia should be told that fatherchina is also important for SL bcos it was fatherchina who fcuked motherindia and jerked-off inside motherindia 9 months b4 daughterlanka was born.

SL is more like a son than a daughter and india can be assured that SL will never become a motherfcuker especially when her cunt is infested with a type of gonohrea called tamil nadu!!!!!

it smells across the palk strait to SL too and jaffna being closest is worst affected!!!

what the fcuk this got to do with the illegal ship thing?????

those two are seperate things. these jokers try to mix up the two.

no 2 state solution to the conflict. its a one state solution. arabs hold israeli land in trust until israelis take it from them. then they hand it over and go to the VAST arab regions, hopefully in peace.

how can israel and "palestine" live in peace side by side when extremist terror group hamas rules "palestine"!!!!

SLs and de facto TEs live in peace side by side with interpol vezapillai or tamil-only sambandan being the president and PM of TE!!! lovely.

Many thanks to Israel for giving monkey moon a new banana to chew on.

Some points regarding this event:

1) Western media (likes of CNN) thrusting out Israeli's POV with zeal, playing videos and other shit that white washes Israel. Why don't these "free media" sakkillyas take the side of the "under dog"? Remember how they reported on SL? They played all shit Tamilia could give them, worked in collusion with Tamilia to make videos and other shit too.

But for Israel they engage in the typical white washing.

2) Suddha's, and their monkeys, call for "inquiries" and "investigations", yet NOTHING happens. This was pointed out by someone interviewed by Aljerkoff. He stressed what happened to the Goldstone report, UN resolutions etc, that the Wests just calls for inquiries yet DOES NOTHING and gives Israel the "green light" while these Inquires are just designed to "put of" the issue at hand and let it fade away.

Now remember how these sakkalyia's attack SL over our inquiries and how they want such from Sri Lanka (with "international panel" and all that bs over war crimes) to which they will no doubt act upon ALL TO PUNISH Sri Lanka for defying them & their authority (for getting rid of the LTTE). Yet we see NOTHING of the same, no chest beating, no demonisation and dehumanisation or tears for the victim when Israel does what it wants. US increased its Military aid to Israel this year alone in spite of the Goldstone report (which they ridiculed, but you can bet that some reason such a report would hold validity for SL).

Now i know Moshe will complain, and i am not too fussed about what has happened in the Middle East, a good distraction for SL, i am just pointing out hypocrisy of PARA SUDDHA.

A good comparison which exposes the reality behind suddha for those of you in denial or think they are being “mislead” or on LTTE “pay roll” is the way the Wests behaves to SL with HR, war crimes and human rights bs demanding actions and UN activity with such zeal Vs their mute, impotent demands and responses to Israel hoping to bury the issue and wait till it goes away. Again the manner in which they responded to the Goldstone report is enough to expose their double standards, the fact they are NOT genuine (which we in SL all know) PLUS the most important fact that they are NOT being “mislead” by Tamilia. Again just see the response and the enthusiasm behind their “humanitarian concerns” between SL & Israel. There are plenty of pro-Palestinian groups making “pressure” in the West (more potent in terms of numbers, votes, money than Tamilia), yet suddha just give lip service, where as for SL they come down hard --> proof that Tamilia is a conduit of interference to push their own SEPARATE agenda/interests to TEs, they just ride Tamilia for it.

Aljerkoff also crying 7-9 of their reporters are on the ships and they have heard nothing from them.

Also making a weak mild "demand" for their release.

Where is Reporters Without Borders??

These aljerkoff journalists have done just that.

I look forward to hearing more from the "free media" champions.

SL/India/China.

I agree with Moshe on this.

China is the better ally and friend.

However if we ignore India like JR did we will be in more "difficulty" than we are now. I know times are different to the 80s (with regards to India "power") but India still has the same mentality which is just as dangerous for SL.

Using Moshe's lanague (lol)

If we "blank" them completely they will rape us hard, if we engage with them they will come with flowers (with sleep inducing toxins for the rape). What is the better choice? Violent way or softer way?

While softer way makes us fall into a false sense of security compared to violent way at least this way India is not openly working against us.

I am not sure what MR is doing, i hope he is just lying his way through, putting on a show to keep India off our backs.

Best way is to increase Chinese investment/presence, and the obvious being recolonisation (then we cane have as much bloody devolution as India wants haha. Sadly it does not look like MR is that interested in recol.

Moshe is right that China is a way better ally, but we cannot give the finger so blatantly which is what Moshe is advocating, I wish we could but it is not that easy. I am sure MR is aware of this (he is cunning) but do not know what exactly is game plan is.

Also I do not think MR wants to purposely close all doors to SL except Chinas. That is exactly what JR did with the US and to an extent Ranil also did the same. MR is keeping all doors open and letting those on the other side shut them by themselves (as done by EU/US, except now they are digging a tunnel using Tamilia to collapse SL from beneath).

Anonymous said...

With regards to foreign (Western +aljerkoff) media in SL, likes of BBC and others, why not charge them HUGE amounts to operate within SL?

We should charge for example BBC £200 million at first. Then ramp it up till we hit a £1 billion. SL can use the cash.

Its not a ban, just an "operating cost".

Pillay has no right to call for International probe - GL

Navi Pillay has no right to call for an international probe into the government’s final offensive against LTTE, External Affairs Minister G.L. Peiris said today. He added that the United Nations was established to protect small countries and not to destroy them.

Peiris also said that even after the issues was discussed at the UN over 3 days with the majority of countries backing the Sri Lankan Government it was unnecessary what Pillai had proposed.

Peiris questioned why Pillay couldn’t understand and comprehend the international approval for the Sri Lankan government. He added that even US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton acclaimed the reconciliation panel appointed by the President.

Year 2016:

UNP, a minority party in Sri Lanka, despite of 37th consecutive defeat, has successfully secured 3 seats in the parliament. The party leader Ranilam Ponnasingham secured Vadukkodai seat with a narrow margin in his run against the TNA incumbent. After his divorce from the first marriage, he is currently living with his domestic partner Eran Wickremeratne.

Brandix prepared for possible GSP Plus withdrawal

http://www.island.lk/2010/06/02/business1.html

They are preparing now? How thick are these people?

Did the garment honchos think they could keep skimming profits having luxury life styles for themselves forever? It is a fact that the extra profit generated from the GPS+ was spent on super lifestyles of these clowns rather than re-investing in the industry, expanding elsewhere improving efficiencies, preparing for a rainy day etc etc

SundayTimes or Island had a piece where one idiot from the Garment industry said "they need the GSP plsu to compete on world markets". How foolish, why not WORK to make the industry competitive by itself. An industry than needs a concession to survive deserves to collapse.

Then again most of the people who run “business” in the country are Colombian/UNP mentality types who have some idealised foolish view of suddha based entirely on suddhas own propaganda and brainwashing designed to turn people who worship them into the worshippers they are.

The fast we loose this GSP the better.

Israel is UNFAIRLY Criticized!

Guys,

I have been following the news on Israel's attempt to PREVENT Gaza/Hamas supporters from running a CONVOY of "relief" ships to the Gaza!

Having been in as similar sopt during the concluding phase of the Eelam War, there is MUCH for Sri Lanka to LEARN from this.

After much thought, and viewing the available videos on the shipboard confrontation, I have decided that Israel should be supported.

Here are the FACTS:

1. This CONVOY was clearly an attempt to challenge Israel's embargo on Hamas USING Islamist supporters from Turkey and Elsewhere.

2. It is also a CLEAR strategic attempt to DRIVE A WEDGE between Israel and its most reliable Moslem Ally .. TURKEY.

3. The Stand of Israel was clear .. they would oppose ANY and ALL vessels heading to Gaza .. an ENEMY TERRITORY with which they are at WAR. This is similar to the EMBARGOS that the Allies imposed on the Axis powers during WWI and WWII, and are currently in force against, for example North Korea. Thus, embargoes between countries at war is ACCEPTED UNDER INTERNATIONAL LAW.

Who knows what the ships could have been carrying? In any case .. uninspected trade with Gaza was CONTRARY to Israeli Policy.

4. Knowing that Israel would oppose and halt the convoy, the people on board the ships were determined to escalate it into a crisis.

5. The Videos clearly SHOW this .. the Israeli soldiers were assaulted one by one as they descended by rope ladders from the helicopters, and were being beaten with rods and stabbed with knives while they were on the ground.

As such, I am amazed that the Israelis waited for so long issuing warnings as their soldiers were being murderously attacked, without shooting as they descended at the crowd that was clearly on the attack.

We can argue till the cows come home whether the Israeli Policy of imposing an embargo on the Gaza is justified .. that is an area in which often MIGHT is the ONLY right and the POWERFUL NATIONS GET AWAY SCOT FREE while WEAK NATIONS are assailed, but CLEARLY the Israelis were justified in DEFENDING themselves when they were attacked.

Now, the Anti-Israel "Human Rights" Lobby, that supported the Tamil Diaspora Antics fasting on Big Macs will make Hay .. for a while.

Israel has to STAND FAST!

Anonymous said...

Ananda,

You will find there won't be much of a lobby against Israel, and everything will die off within a weak.

Calls for inquires will be made, inquiries will be done, UN resolutions passed and some speeches and that will be that. Any "results" from the inquiries and terms of resolution will be ignored and tossed aside.

West merely does lip service for Israel while making strong demands against Sri Lanka which they want to fulfil.

I am watching this event to see the reactions of the West not the rights or wrongs of the blockade at Gaza or the event with the ships. MUCH will be exposed.

Moshe Dyan said...

thanks ananda.

as i have said many many times, SRI and ISR are in it together. both face the SAME problem.

whether the embargo on gaza is good or bad is another thing. illegally bringing shiploads of god-only-knows-what is another thing. also ppl from 10+ countries are illegally entering israel concerns!!!

no country will allow this.

as expected LTTE's best friend francic boyle is in the thick of it. bugger uses this to tell the IC to probe israeli "war crimes" and bring israel to international criminal tribunal (ICT).

clearly these MFs planned this.

unfortunately the malaysian govt is also involved in mv rachel corrie ships thing. this crap ship is STILL sailing towards gaza from what i hear.

on board is a tamil human rights joker by the name ram karthigasu from malaysia. however, to his credit he has not supported TE crap as far as i know. may be a good guys as far as SL is concerned but certainly a bad guy if he violates territorial rights of nations.

now this may well be a stage managed saga. if powerful israel is subjugated by human rights jokers, SL stands no chance.

1. mv vanga machan or captain ali tried the same thing.

2. nedumoron tried it.

3. seaman threatened it.

this can happan to SL as well. now there is a bigger risk.

they don't give a damn about palestinian or tamil ppl. they only want WORK for them and trouble for others. more trouble means more work and money for them.

human rights work has become a dirtier job than cleaning murder scenes.

Moshe Dyan said...
